Thanks for the comment. Looked thru his work, great stuff and yet heβs struggling as are most artists and freelancers these days. Donated a bit to his buymeacoffee as solidarity, recommend others do the same as well.

Whatβs more frustrating is that actual photographers like @robotwig.com are doing legit stellar work with models for real but not getting the same numbers. Check out his BTS setups too.
I'll have to try my hand at trying to make some gunshot sounds from the ground up later on. Trying to go for a happy medium between a really 80s sound and a modern FPS style.
I've been working on getting all of the weapons ingame and have spent some time learning how to make weapon sounds as well. Not my forte, but I'm quite happy with these. Mostly done just by layering stuff from the Boom library with gunshot samples from 80s films. #gamedev #indiegame #ue5 #gameaudio
Each generation has their own, but 80/90s nostalgia will be a bit different to anything that comes after as those were the last decades of a common shared culture. Difficult to have unified 2000s nostalgia aesthetic (maybe the aero frutiger trend tho) as by then ppl had vastly different media diets.
Eh, isn't there already a ton of nostalgia for the 90s? For example all the obsession with PSX era graphics, music etc. I guess 80s nostalgia is still more mainstream, due to the generations currently making games / netflix shows being millenials, but I think that too will slowly advance further.
the sky was full of stars
These are so good β€οΈ
These look very nice indeed! I should get back to painting my ECs.
Don't understand the Thunderball hate. Sure, there's That scene, but apart from that I like it a lot. Maybe partially because of nostalgia, as I loved the underwater scenes as a kid, but I also like how chill the whole film is. Most of it is just Bond hanging out in the bahamas.
Always faster to switch to your detective special than to reload.
Such a small feature, but getting this to actually work right has been a struggle. Still a bit of smoothing to do, but overall works really well! Longer video of new stuff soon! #gamedev #indiegame #ue5 #blender #unrealengine
That late 80s, early 90s OVA cyberpunk... That's the stuff.
Great film, one of Toβs finest.
I've never seen Pingu voiceacting actually recorded, this is amazing
The William Gibson N1 is pretty much a grail piece for me. I do have a few of their sweatshirts already though and they're great. Definitely get better with time the more you use em.
GTA5 was trying to be Michael Mann and attempted to imitate the style/vibes slavishly (down to a great Tangerine Dream soundtrack), but still it what it only reminded me of was those shitty early 2000s "quirky" action films like Smokin Aces and whatever garbage Guy Ritchie did.
Also, I very much agree with how off-putting the GTA5 vibes were. That one I think I never finished because of that, just couldn't care at all about the story / characters, even though I liked the actual gameplay.
I mean I always knew I would love the game once it sucked me in, but I guess that just took me these 8 years. :D Luckily it hasn't aged much. I'd easily believe it was a PS5 native game if some of the shader work etc was a bit more advanced.
I just started RDR2 for the third time, previous two attempts getting abandoned right at the beginning of the game. No idea why that (actually surprisingly short) winter sequence so discouraged me previously, as I find myself really enjoying the game now that I'm about 6-7hrs in.
VR is so good in GT7. I don't have any background in racing games but something in GT7 made me give it a try and bought a cheap second hand wheel. It was fun on the TV, but PSVR2 was a gamechanger. It's so much more immersive, but also just a lot easier as the connection to the car feels so good.
On the other hand, if there'd been any expansions with new player characters, would've be fun to have a character who's like a corpo true believer, constantly doing absolutely ruthless and horrible quests and always believing it's the right thing to do. Corporations are people too.
SwedishK ingame
SwedishK render
SwedishK render
Put the Carl Gustav Kulsprutepistol aka Swedish K ingame, textures are unfinished though and it's currently using the anims from a different SMG so the hand positions don't really match. Still, I really like the look of the gun already. #gamedev #blender #indiegame #unrealengine #ue5
tbh I think what a lot of europeans are hoping for is that your shitshow serves as a wakeup call for voters here. And on that front, your administration truly has done their very best. Maybe Germans wont elect neonazis into power in a few years π€·ββοΈ
I think we're plenty angry at what you've got going on over there, but most find ourselves living in glass houses. For example here in Finland we've got our own far right in government, EU-wide the situation might be absolutely horrible in a few years. So yeah, you guys fucking suck but so do we.
kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life
Carl Gustav M45 aka Swedish K
Heja sverige! Here's a Carl Gustav to make up for the lack of proper Wonderland updates. This one I should region lock so no americans can use it. New gameplay mechanics footage coming up next week I truly hope. #gamedev #indiegame #ue5 #blender #3dart #unrealengine
Just listened to My perfect consoleβs games of the year and Sektori was Simonβs no1 pick! Congrats! Been intending to get into this, will need to do so asap after christmas.
