Did he truly say this? Delighted to see a report or evidence, but too often these quotes are merely hopeful.

It's funny how when you ask them why they think Pope Francis was "too woke" and request specific examples, they always wound up describing Christ's teachings without a hint of self-awareness.

Today, both Candlemas and Imbolc help us to celebrate light’s return, a reminder of hope and renewal. As Unitarians, these festivals might invite us to embrace inner growth, honouring the divine, and the human need for transformation. In darkening times it is the hope for light that holds us.

Today we might reflect on the life of Saint Thomas Aquinas, a scholar who understood that faith and reason are not opposites but partners in the pursuit of truth. As Unitarians we remember his quiet insistence on evidence, reflection, and the pursuit of understanding through both heart and mind.

And very naughty music choice by the team at that point. It’s just so good.

It was well thought out. Bigger question is whether next step is just too clever.

‘eX-content’ ?

I left X to escape the angry political arguments. I found Bluesky talking about books, art, poetry and faith. It was wonderful. A couple of months later and my timeline is increasingly filled with angry politics.

As the year turns, we let go of that which weighs us down, the old hurts and regrets. With quiet resolve, we instead carry forward the lessons learned, stepping into the unknown, hearts open, ready to begin again.
