Op basis van een blog die ik schreef voor Talent in de regio, maakte dataverslaggever @martijnklerks.bsky.social van het @algemeendagblad.bsky.social voor alle 342 Nederlandse gemeenten een lokaal artikel. Daardoor verscheen het verhaal o.a. in De Gelderlander, De Stentor, en Tubantia. 2/3

In this new paper, we analyse online job vacancy data and find that jobs in large cities require more skills and a more diverse skill set, indicating a higher job complexity.

Why is it easier to find a job that matches your skills in a city than elsewhere?
In this study we show that there are disproportionally more vacancies available per worker, which makes it easier to move from one job to another.
