Heading to my hometown today to celebrate the life of this sweet lady, my Great Aunt Betty Lou. ❤️
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m just so saddened and disgusted by what’s going on in our country in the name of someone whose message was love.
This is so very true for me. Until you have others tell you that your existence is wrong, that you are less than, that you do not belong- you just don’t get it. I’ll forever stand with all the ‘others,’ because I know how powerful it was when people stood with me.
Time for some affirmation! All belong!

My best friend, a public school teacher, had to sit in professional development this afternoon, discussing procedures for if ICE shows up in his classroom. His middle school classroom. My heart aches for him & his students who are living in fear. Lord, have mercy.
My wife & I are renters and likely will be for the foreseeable future. A mortgage would only save us about $200/mo but we still wouldn’t have any funds to cover potential repairs, plus being ‘stuck’ in a home sounds terrifying in this unstable job market.
Reserved my tickets via The Warehouse today! Can’t wait to see my favorite musical dudes in MO.

If enough time passes, an otherwise healthy person can start to get used to sickness.
