I changed my mind 23 years ago. To clarify, you didn’t HAVE to do it then either but having dealt with UKgov over other issues I did to make sure they were registered and we got UK & US passports. Bringing kids into the U.K. who don’t have a UK passport can “raise eyebrows” at border control
I guess it was 23 years ago but that’s what we did with the triplets in the US. We were advised to do it to prevent issues later as a failsafe.
You register the birth at the British embassy as well as whatever you do locally.
Never let that sort of stuff bother me, just block & ignore. It'll be here soon, the hand wringing about blocking the fake Badenoch account the other day was an example of what's also wrong with this place, far too dull and worthy.
