he had very little experience with spice until he hired roach, who thought he was Hwite when it came to heavy spice so he gave him the mild stuff. it wasn’t until they were in port & stede tried an extremely spicy street dish & nearly demanded roach start using any & all spices he wants
stede has weird circulation issues in his hands & feet & they’re constantly cold, but ed runs warm & doesn’t complain when stede sneaks his hands up his shirt or sticks his feet between his calves when they’re cuddling in bed to warm them. weirdly enough, it actually feels really fucking good
