Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.

tomorrow i am helping to coordinate the Alaska Music Summit in Anchorage. it's the 3rd in three weeks. We're gonna pack this room with musicians, music teachers, bookers, presenters, arts administrators, and more tomorrow, and we're gonna preach solidarity.

Writer Don Rearden has raised thousands of dollars since he launched his campaign. "What matters is community," he said.
"Two Old Women" is an adaptation of Velma Wallis' novel of the same name. Wallis's 1993 book is based on an Athabascan legend and takes place before colonization.
