Just watched Train Dreams. Managed to get it in before The Oscars on Sunday. Excellent film. Beautiful shot. Very powerful and sad. Shame it has no real shot at winning Best Picture but it definitely earned its nomination. Highly recommended provided you’re in the right mindset.

Saw “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t die” today. This movie is fucking bananas.
It left me with two feelings: it’s either brilliant beyond comprehension or a movie that tries just a little too hard in some areas and crumbles under its own weight.
Still processing, but either way I loved watching it.

Just saw The Housemaid because curiosity got the better of me and straight up this movie delivered on the hype. Surprisingly great thriller. Amanda Seyfried is DYNAMITE in this movie. Big time recommendation for thriller fans.

Finally watched de Toro’s Frankenstein and absolutely love love LOVED it. It started strong but it only got better as it went on. I can absolutely see why it got 9 Oscar nominations. It’s incredible.
Finally watched Wake Up Dead Man. Took me way too long but WOW. Absolutely phenomenal. Better than expected and easily my favorite of the three Knives Out films. I’m left speechless. Would’ve made my top 10 of 2025 had I seen it in time. Definitely watch it!
I would trade Tilda for Meryl Streep. But other than that I like where your head is at.
Return to Silent Hill is pretty decent. Not great and nowhere NEAR the OG film…but not a train wreck.
Clunky pacing, some odd changes, but it’s nice to see some of the game’s famous moments on screen. A fun adaptation that works best for those familiar with the game as opposed to newcomers.

Just got out of a showing of No Other Choice. Fantastic film. Park Chan-Wook is such a unique storyteller. An insanely whacky movie that’s also dark but surprisingly funny in all the right places. Good time and a good flick.

Just saw 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. And holy fucking shit, now THAT’S a motion picture.
Too early to say for sure but I’m leaning towards liking it more than the prior one. An absolute masterclass. Straight jaw-dropping honestly.
