Rob Reiner stood out in a cast of giants in All in the Family. He was the conscious of America. Archie Bunker’s ignorance mirrored America’s reality, and Reiner’s “Meathead” pointed out what could/should be.
It was brilliant writing, but Reiner’s sincerity made it powerful to a young me.
