You’d expect Forest’s tempo to drop second half, they can’t press like that forever. But we have to wake up. Keep the ball, move it quicker, put them under pressure instead. #LFC

That was a tough watch. Don’t think I’ve seen a half where Liverpool’s passing was that poor across the pitch. Simple balls going astray, first touch off. Forest harrying well, but we’ve got to be better. Expecting changes from Slot. #LFC

A poor decision from Alisson for the penalty. Painful moment. Szoboszlai’s red card, means he’s banned for Sunderland. Big problem at right-back. I don’t know. When you look back on the last few league games a lot of the damaging moments were self-inflicted. #LFC

We were poor in the first half, but the second half we were completely different. We had energy, intent, belief.
Salah, Wirtz and Ekitike all grew into the game and started to impose themselves. Will only get better. Just trying to take some positives. #LFC

Again, failed to see the game out. Game management is becoming the story we can’t escape this season. The leaders on the field not doing enough to keep everyone focused #LFC

When Szoboszlai scores a goal worthy of winning most football matches, we simply should not lose the game. Still shaking my head. #LFC

Completely agree on both counts. Slot has made mistakes, sure, but the rush to turn on him was honestly depressing. On Jota, 100% something like that doesn’t just vanish at the touchline. It hits players, staff, and the manager as human beings first. Takes time to deal with that. #LFC

Slot praising the atmosphere and the supporters says a lot. Managers who respect the crowd usually earn it back tenfold at Anfield. #LFC

Arne Slot speaking with real class again. Clear ideas, no noise, total belief in the group. Really like him and a proper Liverpool manager already in my opinion. #LFC

Pleased for Konaté. He set the tone at the back, Szoboszlai is so consistently good. Wirtz showing his class, Ekitiké finishing the job. Balance all over the pitch. #LFC

Great team performance again from #LFC. Solid, controlled, and dangerous when we turned the tempo up. Proper squad effort.

Standouts for me were Konaté rock solid, Szoboszlai everywhere, Wirtz pulling strings, and Ekitiké ruthless when it mattered. That was the spine for me tonight. #LFC

That commentator….Newcastle were better team earlier on but not by a considerable margin! #LFC

Salah lively again, but that final connection still feels just a touch off. Confidence thing maybe. Ekitike and that second goal was a pure striker’s finish. Sees the gap, toe-pokes almost, done. #LFC

Wirtz has been brilliant overall, but you feel he just needs to pull the trigger when the chance opens up. Everything else is there. Big impact tonight. #LFC

Our first goal though. Proper quick crossplay between Wirts & Ekitike. One-touch, high tempo, direct. When we move with pace, teams panic. That’s Liverpool at our best. #LFC

Difficult start for us, Newcastle brought serious energy & pressed hard early. Always felt that tempo wouldn’t last though… once we found pace, the game shifted our way. #LFC

Thought Alisson positioning was poor for the goal. Kerkes unlucky. #LFC

We definitely look far more dangerous when teams attack us. When teams sit deep, the tempo drops, the ball speed slows, and we struggle to inject that same pace and urgency. It’s a pattern that keeps repeating. #LFC

With Konaté absent and now Gomez injured we have a serious lack of defensive depth. Leaving Andy Robertson go now would seem reckless. #LFC

We were on top & turning point was when Virgil fluffed a routine clearance to gift them a soft goal. To make it worse, the error led to Joe Gomez’s injury. That was a bitter blow. He had played well in Marseille.Then it took too long to get our rhythm back. #LFC

I really upset with that. I mean coming back from two down should fire you up, not expose how soft you are. That loss is genuinely disgraceful. #LFC
