Well into the regional identity topic now with year 12. Tomorrow out comes this gem of a book as we look at somewhat outdated regional stereotypes with 80 adjectives and lots of data, this would be perfect if you study Ocho Apellidos!πͺπΈ

Iβm enjoying it so far. Iβm hoping to pass on anything that might give my year 12s an edge with the essay. Have you finished it yet?

Some absolute corkers from the writing mock to present back to year 11 tomorrow. Weβre going to play βbusca alguien queβ¦β
Agree/disagree cards linked to education and employment (el paro juvenil, los ninis etc). Using these tomorrow with year 12 to develop some responses in oracy. www.tes.com/teaching-res...

A rock βnβ roll Friday night working on some new chapters for the second edition of the grammar workbook. I got bored of the same old grammar drills so checked through @spsmith45.bsky.socialβs new book which instantly breathed some new life into a chapter on the future perfect. amzn.eu/d/cyxtLjN
This is the sort of thing I reckon Ange himself would read and enjoy. Some of us get it, a lot donβt.
Log into X to check on things and send a message to somebody not on BlueSky. Within a matter of seconds see an uncensored video of a woman set on fire. Log out. That site has been absolutely ruined.
Some really nice displays of fair play, etiquette and respect today at chess club. Everything was going swimmingly during our annual blitz tournament until everybody noticed a bird had got into the school. #chess
Iβm having a nostalgia-fest here, I remember looking up so many words/structures I hadnβt come across before - it was a steep learning curve and I loved it!
Random one but my Spanish started to peak when I found this album back in 2013. Banging album.
Youβre on a roll mate!
I think I'm done for the night though, it's currently a 5-page section with practice tasks and it's getting a bit complex for what started as a beginner's book.
I'm enjoying the mental gymnastics of getting this page right, thanks @clareseccombe.bsky.social for the suggestion! I've tried to keep this recap section short but there's a whole page explanation preceding this. Work continues!
Definitely not yours, the Routledge New Reference one off the top of my head
To be honest it's something I read in another grammar book years ago that stuck with me that I hadn't really questioned, until today π
Happy to send over anything you might need but I'm sure you've probably got it covered!
It was missing a c, thanks! This is proving a pretty tricky section to write and is testing me a fair bit.
Spanish teachers/learners, have I butchered this explanation? I've spent a few hours over the last week trying to get this right but passive se structures are not easy! There is a follow up page for plural objects and some practice tasks. Thanks!
Ordered! Looking forward to having a read and also using in mentor meetings with my trainee ππ»
I've had a few back at lunch today, in their own time, designing their clock faces. It's struck a chord with a few who have that more artistic/crafy flair and they've completely rolled with it. Has been an absolute pleasure!
Precisely why I decided to do it! We had a case recently of somebody unable to read an analogue clock face not realising they had X amount of time left on a mock paper.
Tried something different with KS3 this week. We made, designed and annotated our own clocks with key time-related language on the back. Yes, it took a while to make them but it has gone down so well. Next up: daily routine and time together. #mflbluesky
An unexpected guest visits the nativity scene at my sonβs nursery. How long he remains there only time will tellβ¦
100% yes!
I winced at the price too!
I'm going to have a go at this tomorrow with y year 8s. Thanks for the idea + resource!
Great ideas, I think Iβll just copy your lesson for this Friday! WJEC, to make life easy, only have the words in a PDF π«
I did proofread the whole thing, change lots of bad translations and it did include non-adjectives like βda rabiaβ but I think overall it did an okay job!
All adjectives from the specification ready for year 11 on Friday. Asked GPT to extract all adjectives from the entire course word list and make a nice little table to be completed. Thanks for the idea @theniceman.bsky.social πͺπΈπ€https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-13156402
