Before the Law Kalief Browder was accused of taking a backpack. The courts took the next three years of his life.

Gonnerman's commitment to exposing abuses in our criminal justice system is unparalleled. She introduced me to the tragic story of teen Kalief Browder, a victim of NYC's criminal justice system. Encourage you to read it too:

In news deserts, Trump won in a landslide

And studies show communities with no local newspaper missed how federal policies impact them, so they voted in larger numbers for Trump:

How are random people locating evidence in the Guthrie kidnapping case that the FBI and local police seem unable to find?

$5 Million Settlement Ends Case of Tainted Texas Sting (Published 2004)

I'd encourage Isle to review what happened in Tulia, Texas when they accepted a grip of federal money for their supposed Narcotics Force:

So, FCC is fine with Colbert interviewing Senator Jon Ossoff on The Late Show, but not Representative Talarico? πŸ€”

New low: steal (and presumably, destroy) the artwork of children you've imprisoned in concentration camps. What could go wrong?

Seems redundant to paint over the inscription written on a statue that you're going to shove in a basement. This statue clearly left the boys in Congress feeling some kind of way.

So impressed with the grace and maturity Ilia Malinin showed on a single bad day out of so many exceptional ones. It's hard to lose on a public stage. Malinin kept it all in perspective. He's a champion, for sure. Hope his close friends and family remind him of that. See you in 2028, Malinin!

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

There's no civil rights investigation of the Pretti shooting. They are merely saying there is.

Yep, DOJ *says* they're doing a civil rights investigation of the Pretti shooting. No reason to believe they actually are.
