I am begging people to watch movies for adults.

If there were an Oscar category for Best Locations, 𝘚𝘪𝘳ā𝘵 would be the frontrunner by merit. And it's all desert.

The "this movie sucks because I cannot relate to its characters and their problems" discourse betrays an inability to engage with art as anything other than a mirror of oneself. A lack of empathy, if you will.
