With over 40k followers, it was very hard to detach myself from Twitter/X - but it is gone, and I'm so glad to have found 'my people' here! So, here's a photo of the egg of my favourite butterfly, that I've studied for almost 15 years ... the White Admiral (Limenitis camilla) ... a hairy golf ball!

My grandsons are full of anticipation at what Santa might bring, and reminds me of the feeling I had while waiting for this Silver-studded Blue to emerge from its chrysalis. A friend said it looked like it had been vacuum-packed, showing every detail, which I thought was quite fitting!
This winter & into 2025, I’m undertaking an ambitious project to create a 1000sqm wetland in the middle of #London, thanks to the Friends of Clapham Common.
