AI is better than humans because AI doesn’t get cancer. So let’s build data centers that we know will cause humans to get cancer. It’s a win all around.

I don’t mean to body-shame the SecState, and my grandfather had ears that would make Dumbo blush, but once you see little Marco’s giant ears…well, you cannot *un-see* them.

'Ridiculous': Kristi Noem's 28-year-old aide wasted millions on unusable ICE vehicles A former deputy to outgoing Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem saddled the department with millions of dollars in wasted funding for vehicles that cannot be used.U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcem...

A Noem aide spent $3 million on pickup trucks emblazoned with the ICE name & logo, which ICE agents -- notoriously averse to advertising their presence -- will not drive, so they're just sitting in a lot, useless. The contract went to a Trump donor who owns a regional Chevy dealership.

The national suicide being committed by the Republican-led United States has no historical precedent. Centuries from now (if humanity survives that long), historians will struggle to explain how such a thing was possible.

A knock on the window and a glimpse of America’s surveillance future “This is taking a big and very scary step toward a kind of totalitarian checkpoint society,” a privacy advocate warns in a special France 24–Mother Jones report.

License plate readers. Cellphone location data. Social media monitoring. Now, real-time facial recognition on the street.

DHS is building a surveillance apparatus—and you're probably already in it.

Why was this story on the front page of the UK’s Daily Telegraph — but NOT America’s leading newspapers?

This thread and claim is revelatory. It explains Grim, Sirota, Taibbi, others.

If Dems were smart they’d create shadow groups that spend money on radio/RV and billboards that seem to be affirmative ads from Republicans that pair GOP nominees with Trump and state simply, e.g.:

“Vote Cornyn, Vote Trump.”

Make GOPers either embrace or distance themselves from Trump.

Period.

Donald Trump’s approval rating Follow our presidential approval rating poll tracker to see how favourably Americans view Mr Trump

Wow: Trump’s net approval in Texas right now is -18.7%.

That’s right: Texas.

He’s underwater in 43 states, including conservative stronghold SC, where he’s double-digits down: -10.9%.

Keep talking about Iran and the ballroom curtains, dummy.

Markets perform better under Democratic presidents. Job numbers, GDP growth rates, too.

Yet the “GOP better on economy” perception persists.

Presidents don’t control economy completely, ofc. But it’s hard to argue GOP is better stewards when economy does worse.

If only voters paid attention.

MAGA: No more Bush wars and Obama drones. I’m for Trump’s isolationist, America First foreign policy!

Trump: I want Canada, Greenland, Venezuela, Iran, and Cuba.

MAGA: This is what I voted for. Please take me seriously and show me respect at this TV interview in a Des Moines diner.

All candidates have “wasted” votes in both the states they win and lose, but Harris had more. Common for Dems, who are disadvantaged by the Electoral College. Which is exactly why GOP defends it.

The American King Goes to War This is not what the Founders intended.

The constitution's design does not grant the president a kinglike ability to take the country to war by himself, lest he do so for self-serving reasons. That is the entire purpose of dividing that authority between POTUS and Congress. Guess what just happened? www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

I was forced to watch TV news when I had breakfast in a diner recently and I strongly resonated with the sentiment that being an intelligent person in America today is like being awake during a surgery.
