Oh yes. I always have to make sure I don't walk too far from home in case I can't get back because I've hit my limits. In the early days, too eager to get fit instantly, I did push a bit too hard and almost got stranded! Learnt my lesson, so I'm more careful these days...

I've had a quick flick through this and it looks fabulous. Thanks! I'll have a proper listen soon.
And the Wrath of Khan soundtrack is another cracker. Horner has a different style to Goldsmith, but it's briiliant for the more action-y film.

300 pages is a good length for a book. Anything over 500 has to be *spectacularly good* to justify its length.

βIt would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure.β

And not just because Amanda Pays was in it - it was great anyway.

No woman in a burqa (or a hijab or a burkini) has ever done me any harm. But I was sacked (without explanation) by a man in a suit. Men in suits missold me pensions and endowments, costing me thousands of pounds. A man in a suit led us on a disastrous and illegal war. Men in suits led the banks and crashed the world economy. Other men in suits then increased the misery to millions through austerity. If we are to start telling people what to wear, maybe we should ban suits.

Made it to the edge of the countryside today - first time this year & also the farthest Iβve walked this year. Itβs not quite the equivalent distance to the local shop, let alone the trip back & the hilly bits too.
Hard work & breathless, but itβs progress towards the goal!

Funny thing is, though, it's probably my last officially delivered Radio Times for a while because I think my subscription has now run out & with the RT subs website being utterly broken for months I haven't been able to renew - or even check the exact date the subscription actually runs out.

Unbelievable scenes here!
The Radio Times has been delivered - 8:15am on a Tuesday. First time on a Tuesday (the supposed correct day for delivery) since around October.
And a postie at 8:15 - unheard of!

βYou're an interesting species.
An interesting mix.
You're capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares.
You feel so lost, so cut off, so alone, only you're not.
See, in all our searching, the only thing we've found that makes the emptiness bearable, is each other.β

Grey & chilly today on my #GettingFit walk. But the cranes are still there & apparently theyβve fallen out. (I reckon thereβs a story in this.)
βWell if thatβs how you feel, Iβm off! And Iβm taking my cable with me.β
