It is confusing. If she was crossing when the driver had a green light, why not failure to obey traffic signal instead of failure to yield ROW? If she was finishing crossing when the light turned green, how was the driver going fast enough to cause serious injury (EMS estimated 40 mph)?

"suspected serious injury" = lost (& regained) consciousness, broken right ankle, lower back pain, Pri2 trauma (urgent but not life-threatening), per EMS consult on the way to Suburban Hospital.

E-bikes allow my friend to live independently in a car-centric city. If she didn’t have that, she’d be relying on begging for rides, which is degrading and doesn’t make for great relationships (and also has meant she ended up in dangerous situations)!

If your goal is to get lazy people on bikes, then "Here is a bicycle that you, a lazy person, will love!" is more effective than "Stop being lazy, you lazy person!"

The latter is more effective if your goal is to castigate people, tho.

There is a higher density of bollards protecting these two waste bins than I've seen for any pedestrian infrastructure in the City of Columbus.
