Good day, Brooklyn
Tired Langston Hughes I am so tired of waiting, Aren't you, For the world to become good And beautiful and kind? Let us take a knife And cut the world in twoβ And see what worms are eating At the rind.
Langston Hughes wrote βTiredβ in 1930, but it applies as much today as ever. Yes, Iβm tired. I believe the world containsβand can and should elevateβgood, beauty, and kindness. But the worms of greed, hate, and ignorance will devour it from within until we stop them. That is where my activism aims.
Russia: "The work was completed on time, the asphalt has been laid, the roadway is open to traffic. This is a good example of the implementation of a national project."
One of the many justifications/rationalizations for buying a 3D printer and spending the time to learn the Fusion 360 design software was to try and invent a secure drawer closure for our Sprinter's kitchen cabinet. This is my latest try.
I think autocorrect made a mistake and used the term "lower information voters" when they meant to say "idiots".

White-crowned Sparrow giving me the hairy eyeball in the fields of Half Moon Bay, CA.
Last night's @warriorsofficial.bsky.social vs Memphis Grizzlies game was a thriller and basically ended on a controversial call. I grabbed the 5-second violation and superimposed a timer. See for yourself! TV footage belongs to TNT, of course. This might get taken down for that reason...
10 shot drone panorama of the Hollywood, FL skyline just because I'm working and was a little bored.
Early morning drone flight out the window of my 32nd floor hotel room outside of Miami.
Our local beach here in Half Moon Bay was inundated by Vellela vellelas today from a storm that rolled through. The colors were spectacular. Bummer for the hundreds of thousands of them that perished. Drone photo from ~150 feet above the beach with the DJI Air3S.
Dramatic morning out here in Half Moon Bay

I love taking photos with GOATs. Amazing getting to meet Jerry Rice today.
Photography experts: βnever put the horizon in the middle of your photosβ
Me: [chuckles]
Test 3D print for my new front badge for my Sprinter. Might just leave it red to poke the maggots a bit. But might re-think that...
Designed and 3D printed by me for my Sprinter. Yes, it's a statement.
I adore these. Thank you.

Make time for this video. It's a meticulous, thoughtful and hopeful analysis of the first days of this presidency. www.nytimes.com/video/opinio...
trying to imagine how our jalopy of a democracy is going to stay road worthy...this is very bleak
Portability, simplicity, ability to "stack" images internally, and a built-in ability to find any planet or constellation once it's calibrated. It's dead simple and a good deal. dwarflab.com
Such a tragedy at DCA. This pilot has a detailed breakdown of what likely happened and why. Heβs very experienced (777 pilot I think) and walks through the Air Traffic Control recordings before, during and after the crash. May their memories be a blessing.

I have a Dwarf 2, a terrific little robot telescope and I've had some good luck with it. Problem is that in Half Moon Bay the night skies are usually sub-optimal for that sort of thing. But I keep it in my Sprinter so when I'm away from the coast I can use it. Here's a shot I got a few months ago.
