Just think of it as a more experimental product you make less of, and the more popular characters are safer product. And if your "rares" are in higher demand than you expected and you sell out, maybe you bring a little more next time
That also means that anyone else who loves these characters will get excited if they see you make merch for them though. Of course gotta think about ratios/ how much to make, but I think it's a good idea to cover those underrepresented charas cause other people feel that excitement for rare faves
