9 days until the deadline - please tell your econ PhD students.

The event has very high scientific quality (many applications), is large in size, organized by PhD students for PhD students, has great keynote speakers, takes place in Berlin, in the summer...

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Funny how 5 years ago we had all these debates about wealth taxation, and a big argument was that billionaires don't have that much power reallyβ€”and right after that Musk bought Twitter for $44B, used it to get Trump win, and now to prop up the global neo-nazi movement Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

Hi EconSky, I thought it would be handy to have a feed of DIW Berlin (German Institute for Economic Research) researchers, so I created one. I've included all DIW colleages I could find on BlueSky. Please let me know if I missed someone! bsky.app/profile/did:...

#HiSciSky I'm a fresh econ PhD student in the Berlin School of Economics and the DIW Berlin, curious about all things related to social- and climate policy.
Let's make this platform work!
