When looking purely at launch engagement Highguard did as well or better than any game like it can reasonably be expected to reach.
If Highguard's launch couldn't even buy the team a month to figure it out what are even doing here.

Always baffles me when games launch without a decent runway. These things need at least a month.
need the industry to stop betting on live service games if they can't sustain the livelihood of people who work on them.
It's obviously so much more complicated than that but man if it isn't depressing.
Hate to see so much talent fall victim to the cycle, churned out by an industry that's happy to just push them through the machine again and again.
No one's allowed to prove themselves in this industry anymore. You're a hit in a week or you're dead.
Imagine if many at Hello Games had been laid off after No Man's Sky launched as a "dud".
Instead, they've launched their 40th free major content update and are considered legends in the industry.
