Like, the actual Choice mechanic is obvious here, but even on a tinier scale: Do you want to risk fighting Nemesis or not? Which areas are you going to first? What ammo are you crafting? Are you locking in on the enhanced ammo types or are you going to use the special drop weapons that can't use it?

Nearing the end of a RE3 Nemesis playthrough I started because I didn't want my first time with Requiem to be spoiled by debilitating pain that kept me from being able to focus. I think it's still my least favorite of the original 3 but this run has made me appreciate how much choice it gives you

Recent lessons learned: You can in fact sprain your ankle in your sleep and when the dentist does the bite paper test to see if a filling is too high, it can in fact be inaccurate if you do it while laying down

The last few days have felt like a fever dream of debilitating tooth and ankle pain, looking at the news and being shocked and appalled, and playing various Resident Evil games before I start to hurt again and lie down some more

I have enjoyed the first two hours of Requiem more than the entirety of Resident Evil 8

Unlike other Mecha Tabletop RPGs, this one is-*gets kirked*

This thing has been keeping me going for a bit now, and I couldn't be more excited about how it's shaping up as I sculpt away at it. I really do think this scratches a particular set of itches other mecha games don't, at least from my experience

At the point of refining this tabletop RPG where I'm reminded of the painting process videos I've seen - little tweaks and refinements to specific areas that work in tandem with the areas around it to sell a specific experience. It's been really rewarding.

Final thought for the night: This game is really leaning in hard on motherhood as a theme with the two major bosses I've encountered so far and I can't help but feel a lot of this would play better if we were playing as Mia instead

I'm not sure how I feel about the most intense encounter I've had with an enemy so far being a big axe-wielding giant man guarding a grave stone with an expensive cup inside of it, and as far as I can tell he's completely optional

Through the dollhouse and did a bunch of optional stuff in the village. Big baby monster was kinda neat but getting around it felt a little too straightforward. Sorta felt the same way about Dimitrescu. Then after you get upstairs the "boss fight" was... underwhelming

I forgot this game was the original breaking point for yellow paint discourse and I gotta say... not a fan. I think this is having the opposite effect on me where I don't think twice about a big glowing outline/highlight because it's non-diegetic. Now I'm wondering who's painting everything yellow
