Systems can be glorious. They fail because they are often run by idiots or the criminally malicious. Often both.
And if you don't know if you have, I'm part of the team at @infinite-citadel.com, and before that I was making stuff under the Day 20 label (day20gaming.itch.io).
There's a lot to hate about Sen. Kennedy's.... well, everything, but "blooskee" is SENDING ME. "Sky" is a completely normal fucking word! This is just being purposefully demeaning towards the platform that you know (justifiably) hates your guts.
Exhausting.

legit i think the most successful i have been at selling a ttrpg was when a random post about one of mine got a bunch of reblogs on tumblr. if you like something made by an independent creator (not even just ttrpgs! podcasts, webcomics, videos, whatever) you gotta be loud and annoying about it

On the one hand, it feels against the spirit of a "quickstart" to have so many options described for the adventure.
But on the other, this is a tarot game. If every element were fixed - i.e. didn't use cards and their interpretations to sculpt the story - that feels like a sin.
Managed to trim down 35 pages of material in the quickstart. While 100 pages is still not the *quickest*, 54 pages is for all of the rules. The other roughly half is the intro adventure and all the tables/possibilities you need to run it. #ttrpg #tarot

I also finished volume 1 of Soul Eater, Perfect Edition, but I'm hesitant to include manga for my two-more-books square. It's as thick as any book, but reading manga is so much faster.

Just finished "Nonviolent Communication" by Rosenberg. Incredibly insightful and challenging book. I've been able to apply its lessons a few times already and there's a ton of value in how its shaped my understanding of empathy & communication.

Roughly half way. Lots of little detail pieces to build yet, but I got the adorable stool and street menu done! (tweezer for scale)
One wall of the Neo Ramen mini alley book nook set. Cyberpunk doors, signs, wires, and air conditioning units are glued together to make a three dimensional art piece.
A power box, vending machine (body missing art panels), sign for a sex club, and air conditioner have all been assembled from their component pieces. They are arranged on a folding table so as to dry before being added to the scene.
Finally getting a chance to work on this book nook kit I got for Christmas. Very excited to see it taking shape.
Originally I created Futureless Foes to streamline a particularly complex bit of mechanics; give folks a release valve when they want to Duel, but take less time or invoke less cognitive load.
But it also presents an opportunity to talk about *THIS EXACT THING*. Stop NPC-ifying people. #ttrpg

A huge part of The Beckoning Dream's design is focused on making card randomness *enjoyable*. There are lots of ways to make a bad card good, or to use "failure" to your advantage. Each play moves the game state forward. You're never spending time doing nothing.
