yw! I did find an EU rom easily back then, I might still have it around!

I played so much of it as a kid!! I loved Diablo I and esp. II
I still remember the atmosphere of the game fondly

It's certainly a game that is rough on some edges (this aspect of the gameplay being one of them) However its very sincere character writing won me over. The cast and their relationships between one another, with an emphasis on its female characters, stand out and made it a very touching experience!

I'd recommend playing along with it because it makes the game more fun and rewarding, but the thing about Kartia is that you can render any difficulty non-existant by just ignoring how the game works and bonking enemies with your main party... It's a little ridiculous albeit part of its charm

It's a very unique SRPG with a lot of charm! Its gameplay revolves around an interesting pawn summoning system which all have unique types, weaknesses/advantages. It's an early Tactics Ogre or FFT clone but it went its own way and offered something far more unique than many others which followed.

The lingering feeling of the ending is why it's one of my all time favourites and witholding his last words from the player enhances this, so I agree the original works very well in this regard!
