Never been easier to hit those Blitz inputs
two young kids wearing construction paper capes and hats vaguely shaped like geno and bowser from super mario rpg: legend of the seven stars
in honor of Mar10 Day, check out the badass paper cosplay of bowser and geno I made for me and my friend respectively when I was 9
thinking about Geno on this most blessed of days.
i don't know if it's my absolute favorite mix, but it's the one my arcade had when I was in high school so it's the best one. i can't even listen to any song from that game without hearing the "Three Hundred Combo!!" announcer at the proper timing
unfortunately "Project: M" wasn't an option. anti-mod bias no doubt. my life really is ruled my multiplayer gaming i guess.

"fasten your seatbelts for another Naughty Dog creation" is one of those mental stims I've been stuck with for 30 years

man I forgot how exhausting Slay the Spire (and any good strategy game) is to play when you're still in the "learning everything" phase. finished three runs and i'm actually for-real Tired, like I just finished a up on the treadmill
the wheel of fate is turning
a screenshot of Slay the Spire 2 showing a perfect 1:0 win:lose record.
yeah, I'm a gamer.

Someone put out Catholic self help books in the break room at work for people to take, so I told my boss and now they're taking to admin. Woke 2 strikes from the shadows.
Stonjourner should have been an alt evo for graveler
a geomancer and red mage in the Final Fantasy Project mod for crystal project
hanging out with third strike akuma at this shitass garden
reposting this one because it deserves more eyes on it. highlight of Nextfest so far for sure

CICADAMATA" - It's got the sauce. Similar flow to Neon White - fast-paced short levels designed for speed/scores. Extremely responsive controls, extremely sick vibes. If you're at all interested in fast shooters and score attack you owe it to yourself to play this. This one's for the Freaks.
DEG - A non-linear puzzle game initially based on Minesweeper where you have to divine the rules of the puzzles via trial and error. This one is Good. It DOES get challenging fast even once you divine the various rules, so check the demo to see if it's for you. Likely has some meta stuff going on.
EverSiege - A co-op which bravely asks the question "what if MOBAs were PvE?" It also answers it with "they're still pretty bad lol." The game supports WASD but my hero piloted like a tank through molasses. I don't play LoL/DotA/etc so maybe it correctly mimics those but the gamefeel was just awful.
pleading with my cat to not beat me when he finds out his Churu are actually Friskies Lickables.
most of the skills feel written by someone who was ghost spectating elfgame.
my favorite running joke here is the Intelligence skill interrupts dialogue anytime someone mentions a spell to explain what it does, even if it's just saying a common word like "knock" or "alarm"
Esoteric Ebb - "Disco Elysium-like" where you play as a D&D Cleric trying to solve a mystery. Wears its influences on its sleeve. Probably the best DE-ish game I've played. Funny, characters are mostly cool! Nice art and there's a gay goblin Kim Kitsuragi and communist dwarves. @ferrinus.bsky.social
It definitely needs some work still, lots of early build weirdness like menus sticking around for longer than they should, but the actual gameplay is fun enough.

Voidling Bound - Monster-raising action game where you beat up goopy aliens to collect elemental nodes to jam into your mons to evolve them to beat up more aliens, with new elemental powers. Fun seeing how the mons change as they evolve. Combat is fairly polished. Recommend!
the flower patterns look incredibly sick here
