It was gross! 3am web searching led me to discover the Smell PGH mobile app, which eventually had a flood of others posting similar “sulfurous smoke, WTF” - and a few hinting it was prob the Clairton works’ plume blowing over and getting trapped
Ahh. Missing this was a good thing

Literally set off my home smoke alarm near our front door, and the only reason I’m not still hunting for a source in the house is how much worse it was outside when I opened the front door
I’m up at 4am in Pittsburgh searching for confirmation or explanation of the foul smoky/sulfurous air I swear has descended on the area the last 3 hours
