Are you talking about Trump? There are a ton of Republicans who have sexually abused young men but I have a hard time imagining Trump being one of them as he’s not homophobic (like most male rapists) and his interest in women is so obviously his thing that I can’t see him switching sides.

Many rapists don’t care if their victims are female or male. They get off on the dominance, humiliation and pain inflicted. I don’t think Donald is the least bit gay or bisexual. He just doesn’t give off that vibe.

Did you know? Sir Arnold Bax once wrote under the alias Dermot O'Byrne to publish literary works inspired by Irish mythology and nationalism — a deep interest that influenced the Celtic atmosphere of many of his orchestral works. 🇮🇪

I love that Bride of Frankenstein, a dreamy symphony of stunning photography with each frame soaked with James Whale’s confident queerness, is so funny. Abbott and Costello and Young Frankenstein are so inevitable, and inherent, to this horror tragedy full of camp and farce.

90th anniversary of the Bride of Frankenstein premiere, 80th anniversary of the Carousel premiere. Quite a day for dysfunctional relationships.

I would certainly agree that at his greatest, Bax is a match for Elgar, VW and Holst — and I’d add Walton and Britten, too! Are you a member of the new Bax Society? Please consider joining if you haven’t already. www.sirarnoldbaxsociety.com
