I was a shop steward for National Association of Letter Carriers. That was always the 1st thing to tell ppl. If they want you to do something you think is against the law/contract, ask for it in writing, signed & dated. It is amazing how often management backs off instead of putting it down on paper

I incorporated this into our Christmas a few years ago. My kid, who’s not really into reading, was a little bummed. But now he actually looks forward to it. This year he ask “are we doing the book thing on Christmas Eve this year?” It makes for the most relaxing night. I love it.

Unmasked doctors and dentists You and your unmasked staff make it such a big risk of getting Covid that many people have had to avoid getting basic blood tests, mammograms, procedures, and checkups. You know Covid is airborne and requires a respirator masks to prevent the spread yet you choose to be unprofessional for no reason. There is no medical or scientific reason to stop making in healthcare facilities.
Unmasked doctors and dentists make it difficult for people to get the care they need. 91% of clinically vulnerable people are avoiding or delaying getting critical medical work because Covid is worse option.

My most recent failure: I haven’t written a single word in over a month. My brain just said “no” and I’ve had zero motivation to actually write.

I guess at some point I should share what I actually do. I write PNR (werewolves (and all kinds of shifters), witches, vampires, gods, immortals, & ghosts). With a mix of strong women, lore, mythology, sarcasm, sass, pop culture, and alpha males. They may be shorter books, but they are big stories!
Now is a good time to mention that Marvel has a trans fem superhero named Escapade, whom I co-created with @brandtandstein.com. she's currently kicking all kinds of ass in the Avengers Academy comic on Marvel Unlimited, and it sure would be great if folks were reading and sharing her adventures.

I have 5 of my cats sleeping on my bed and if I so much as breathe wrong I’ll wake them up and pandemonium will ensue. Which means I’m stuck in bed for the foreseeable future.
This is Sylvie (short for Silvara the silver dragon, IYKYK), as sweet as she looks, she is trouble.
I was in the 4th or 5th grade when I found the Hobbit in our school library and checked it out. It was a hard read for me and I could barely comprehend half of what I read and I didn’t end up finishing it. But that was my first intro to Tolkien.
