Panel 2: Off-panel, there is a click and a voice saying “Get him out.” Panel 3: Hazel stares at the open kitchen door, where two squirrels are sitting saying “Get him out! Get him out!” Panel 4: Hazel runs out the door, leaning over and chasing the squirrels away. Hazel: Shoo! Shoo! Panel 5: Close up of Hazel looking in the other direction. Off-screen voice: What was that? Hazel: Nothing. Just the neighbor’s kids, that’s all… Panel 6: Aiden is standing in the hall doorway, with a bag in his hand, eyes half-lidded. Aiden: I thought it might be another crazed critter. Hazel: No, no… I think you’re exaggerating all that. Panel 7: Aiden: DON’T TELL *ME* WHAT I’M EXAGGERATING!! I’VE SEEN WHAT I’VE SEEN!! Hazel: OH FOR GOD’S SAKE, DON’T START ARGUING! YOU’RE GONNA BE LATE!! Panel 8: Close up of Hazel as a “SLAM!” is heard off-panel. Panel 9: Hazel leans upon the kitchen table, eyes closed in resignation. It is revealed that she is surrounded by beer boxes, bottles and cans.

A capybara approaches the throne, where Fairwater and Admaria are sat. Fairwater: "Welcome, citizen. Do you have a grievance to put before your king...?" Petitioner: "Aye, your majesty! We were promised a fifty gigabit fibreoptic link in the borough of Folksborough this time last year, and still we wait..." Admaria: "Oho, THIS again! I'm going to get some popcorn, maybe change outfit. If we summon the CEO of the cable company into the throne room and I threaten to chop his head off, I'm sure they'll start the deployment..." Fairwater: "Strictly, leaving the throne breaks tradition, but... Whatever. Can you fetch me some chocolate while you're at it? Now then, good sir... Can you show me the contract?" Admaria leaves the throne room, and the capybara presents Fairwater with a gigantic stack of paperwork. Petitioner: "Aye, your majesty..." Fairwater: "Ouch! I shall read these after the petitioning. Return tomorrow and I will tell you our decision." Petitioner: "Thank you, Majesty!" Fairwater: "That's one down..."

That was actually the thing that turned me off of webtoons well before learning about any of their other issues. Freedom of format was always one of the biggest strengths of webcomics.

No, but it wasn't required. These days I just assume that's the default state of everyone with more than two brain cells to bang together.

The one that really makes me want to gnaw a limb off is when I can't zoom in on the website because of it. Especially for comics.

Panel 1: Two coffees are being placed on the counter by a barista. Written on the styrofoam cups are “Marsell” and “Ava.” Above this we see dialogue: “See, vets can call in a ‘wellness check’ on animals if they feel like the animal’s being ABUSED.” “You’re not a vet, though. You’re an intern.” Panel 2: Marcel is taking his coffee, while Eva is holding hers in the foreground, while Bijou looks on. Marcel: Even so, with the cred I have, I believe I can convince Animal Control to look in on him. They’ll even have the legal right to enter the home if need be. Panel 3: Marcel is sipping his coffee while Bijou stands in the background. Marcel: Oh boy. This coffee had better erase the effects of only three hours’ sleep… Bijou: If they find Eamonn’s been mistreated, then what? Panel 4: Wide shot of the cafe with other customers and tables. Marcel, Eva, Bijou and Quenby are standing there in a little group next to the counter. Marcel: They confiscate the animal, take him to a shelter, and give him care. Once he’s well again, he’s at the mercy of the pound, but at least he won’t be with… well, your “friend.” Panel 5: Eva is walking away, sipping on her coffee. Eva: … I suppose it’s our best hope. Marcel: If I do this for you, will you help me with Mama? Panel 6: The four are exiting the cafe. Eva: We’ll do our best, we promise. Just… give us time to think on how to deal with the REVEREND again.

Jeremiah walks upstairs to find Ben still trying to get Delilah, who has locked herself in the bathroom, to talk to him. Ben says he doesn't know what's got her so upset and Jeremiah shows him the magazine cover. Ben has the same disturbed response Jeremiah had last comic and Jeremiah points it out.

If you're wondering why she didn't suspect something from that outfit, it's because they took a huge mess of different pictures in different outfits and didn't tell her which one they'd use.
