An item spotted in my local mini mart.
I wish this toy existed when I was a nipper. Back then, I always dreamt of flinging a face.
I'm also curious to know what it reminds me of.

With Dylan Moran this Friday, and @cmatbaby.bsky.social the following one, I feel like I deserve the keys to County Meath or something.

You definitely don’t have to answer this as no one wants to be cruel, but is it Space? I ask only because OMG those publicity shots.

Pretty sure that the pollster on BBC just said of the likelihood of Green’s success today being an indicator of any General Election success, that β€œit’s very hard to expectorate”. How very phlegmatic of him.

Hannah and Zack having a selfie

Final weekend. One last push.

This is about whether you want local plumber Hannah Spencer or the extreme Reform candidate.

It's hope vs hate.

It's Greens vs Reform.

Hope can win.

Display an album that was important to you when you were nineteen.

(Sorry lads it’s an obvious one)

One day I will also be able to walk slowly along narrow canal footpaths holding my partners hand and be surprised when other people want to get past us.

*grumpy*

Will Self’s Savage World The author faced down cancer to write his spectacular new novel, a cutting satire of modern culture.

I neither knew that Self had a new novel coming, nor that he had (pretty bad) cancer. Has this gone underreported or am I following the wrong accounts? www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...

Alfred Molina in the shop today. Was tempted to throw an imaginary cat at him, see if he could do *that* performance again.

I’m really enjoying John & Paul but even for me, an annoyingly overzealous McCartney fan, he seems to be over-egging the influence Paul had on every one of John’s songs. Maybe I’ve just underestimated Paul. Maybe he’s *better* than I thought. Actually, yeah. No worries, as you were.

Simenon’s The Cat. His most existential novel, albeit still pretty funny.

The early stuff is terrific. The late stuff is like hacking at rock to find the sculpture within.
