All good!
All good!
Not yet as far as I know, but looks inevitable.

Although ideally we do bring in another CM if Sheaf is on his way.
From our point of view, I still see the player trading aspect as secondary to the ownership of the ground. Even if we bring in 6.5m for Sheaf and it goes purely towards the CBS purchase, I don't mind it as part of the bigger picture. #pusb
To be fair to Wrexham, if they have cash to burn it's not a terrible move for them either. They get a very good player with tons of Championship experience, which is clearly what they need. It doesn't seem like overpaying or accommodating someone prone to injuries is too problematic for them. #pusb
6.5m for Ben Sheaf with 10 months remaining on his contract would be sensational business. In his prime he was irreplaceable, but that hasn't been the case for a long time now. I was almost resigned to his career with us quietly tailing off and losing him on a free next summer. #pusb
Feels like the kind of role George Osborne would inexplicably blag his way into
Good morning. I spent a few days interviewing people who lost their record collections in the wildfires for this @stereogum.bsky.social feature. A heartbreaking piece to write, but in the end it only reaffirmed my love for collecting physical media.
Dreadful. Although I do have some nostalgia for the League Two away days. One season of it was probably enough, though π
God yeah, forgot what a soaking we got in the away end that day.
Also thought of Eastwood! I was super excited by that signing
Yeah Iβd say he didnβt fit the criteria, he was a coup but unproven at the level
Have you come across the Aldi one? One of the more authentic British/Irish cheddars Iβve come across here. Bonus points for not being bright orange
Hadji is a good shout. Keane was exciting but still a teenager and unproven in the PL?
Iβm struggling! I remember being pretty happy with the Sammy Clingan signing, in the sense that he was a proven player at our level who was wanted by other clubs.
McAllister?
Exactly. Weβve seen enough loanees come in over the years and barely play or make no impact. I also like that the Grimes signing isnβt just about the remainder of this season, but next season and the one after that too.
Absolutely. Adding more than one or two in January generally feels like panic. Or at least an admission that somethingβs gone quite wrong. Iβm glad we havenβt been tempted to do business just to placate the fanbase and be seen to be doing βsomethingβ
More than anything, Iβm just happy and relieved that the mood around the club has so rapidly picked up. Itβs become fun again for the first time in quite a few months. #pusb
Even so, I donβt believe we should be getting too carried away. I want to see β and I think Lampard deserves β a full year of squad building and player development before we can really draw conclusions. #pusb
Iβve also still seen some pretty frustrating spells of sterile, aimless football, even during the winning run. But Iβm well aware weβre missing some of our most potent creative outlets and results are everything. Lampard is doing well with the hand heβs been dealt. #pusb
I do believe there is an element of luck in, for example, the way in which Jamie Allen has had game time and stepped up in the way that he has. Dovinβs form has also frequently saved what remains a pretty fragile defence. #pusb
As for Lampard, Iβm going to need to see much more consistent, long-term improvement before Iβm fully won over, but the recent form is commendable and especially impressive given the injuries. #pusb
You can only credit the club, including King, Austin and Lampard, for enabling it to happen, especially given the pressure and scrutiny theyβve been under (not least from me). #pusb
Also delighted that weβve gone for quality over quantity in our dealings. Firmly believe itβs better to make no January signings than recruiting a bunch of punts. Grimes significantly elevates our overall squad and adds value in so many areas in which we were lacking. #pusb
Donβt want to get carried away, but Matt Grimes is as close to my ideal signing as we could have made in this window. Vast Championship experience, dependable, a leader, a role model, statistics stack up, midfield was somewhat short.
Totally fair! I liked elements of it but it's pretty raw. And nowhere near as slick and mature as WoD.
I discovered halfway through that this record was mixed by the drummer from Deerhoof, which makes a LOT of sense. Plenty of parallels between the two, and the drums are a huge component of this album's sound.
This week's review covers Thunder Perfect Mind, the new record by Canadian trio Motherhood.
Lots to love about this one for those into slightly off-kilter garage/surf/punk rock.
Give it a read, give the album a listen, let me know what you thought and consider liking/subscribing. π
