I like a good challenge! At the Corvallis Modern Quilt Guild retreat, I made a donation quilt top from donated fabric and bits from my own stash. The pattern kept morphing as I made progress. Another guild member will quilt and bind. What fun! #quiltsky
Quilt Retreat weekend! I hope to have a donation top done tomorrow π€π» w/ Corvallis Modern Quilt Guild #quiltsky
2024 Temperature quilt #1 is complete! 100% batik fabrics. Pattern is by Plains and Pine. #quiltsky
Almost done!
It looks more polished when itβs finished by hand. Iβll have to post some comparisons.
After machine binding my quilts for so long, I need to get in the habit of hand stitching it. One of the perks of having a quilt judged is getting notes to improve on! #quiltsky
The quilt coat is finished! I explored ice dying the sections after piecing but before quilting. Iβm pretty excited to try this method with future projects! #quiltsky #quiltcoat
This has been such an awesome quilt coat project. Iβve learned so much and feel I have so much more to explore with ice dye. #quiltsky
Thank you π
Sometimes you have to put yourself out there. Itβs fun to see your work hanging in a show. #oregonquiltfestival #quiltsky
Itβs rinse time! Hereβs a quick look at some wet fabric π This is the result of melting ice, slowly releasing fiber reactive dye into Pima Base quilters cotton. #quiltsky
Planning to rinse out and reveal today!
They certainly are!
Awe, thank you!
Doing something different. Letβs see if ice dying pieced fabric is successful. #quiltsky
One of these years, Iβll make it to Quilt Con, but Iβll have to convince my loved ones to celebrate two major milestones there? At least #quiltfromhomecon makes me feel included π₯° #quiltsky Hereβs my personal best in show (and freshly submitted to the Oregon Quilt Festival happening next week!).
Do I need another quilt coat? Not really, but it seems to be my go-to method of using up leftover blocks from a project. #quiltsky #quiltcoat
Linen pojagi coat in action! This sewing method uses a flat felled seam to join scraps of fabric together. #sewsky
They are addictive! I think Iβve made six quilt coats so far? This is my first non-quilt coat π₯³
My linen pojagi coat is done! Who knew bits of fabric leftovers could become something special? #pojagi #sewsky
Even on a rainy day, thereβs nothing like finding peace at the beach. #loveoregon #quarrycove
Now that I have my sewing machine back from the βdoctor,β Iβm making headway on my linen pojagi jacket.
Wow π€© What a collection!
Thank you! I love having variety.
Thank you!
