🧵 1/ Happy International Women's Day! Oddly enough, this is a post for men.

It's not angry or accusatory. It's a thread asking you to use this occasion to make us feel, and be, less alone in battling inequity, and giving you some ideas of why, what, and how. 🙂 I really encourage men to read it.

Army Corps backs out of plan to study lake tap as long-term Mendenhall Valley flood solution Juneau’s City Manager Katie Koester shared the news at a Juneau Assembly committee meeting Monday night. She called the Army Corps’ change of position deeply frustrating.

City officials say the corp’s abrupt change in position comes as a shock, and could derail the city’s timeline to get a long-term solution in place as soon as possible.

Watched the replay of the men’s big air final - insanely good skiing! The top three were essentially 3 gold medals, and all the winners were thrilled. It was a pleasure to watch!

How awesome for Georgia! First ever winter Olympic medal!

As an aside, I love how normal crying is at these Olympics - happy crying, sad crying, men, women, athletes, coaches. Just watching the Olympics makes me cry, so I’m happy the folks actually there can express their emotions freely.
