I guess cheap eggs were worth it though. Oh wait.......

Thanks to Medicaid, she received these treatments with very little cost to her family. Today they were notified, thanks to the current federal government, that these services have been terminated.
Unfortunately, chemotherapy caused her to enter early puberty, so she was about to undergo hormone therapy to prevent her from getting a period. AT 7 YEARS OLD.
A very good friend of mine has a 7 year old daughter who was diagnosed with a brain tumor 18 months ago. She completely lost control of her left side. Thanks to chemotherapy, OT, and PT, she regained most function and the ability to run and ride a bike.
I am busy for the next 24 hours...
Sometimes being a single parent at Christmas sucks. But sometimes you treat yourself with a fancy Christmas Eve dinner out and it doesn't seem so bad.
Day 13 was a red blend. It was a little on the sweater side. Wasn't really a fan. 6/10
Day 12. A perfectly fine Merlot. I thought I took a picture but apparently, I did not so here's the empty bottle. 9/10
Day 11 is an Italian Pinot Grigio. I normally like these but this one feels a little heavy. Probably would be better if I had chilled it. 6/10
Day 10 is another great red from Spain. This is probably my favorite one so far. 10/10
Bonus wine... hubby brought home this beauty. Probably finishing the bottle. Going to have a headache tomorrow. 10/10
Blurry pic on Day 8. A malbec that was just okay. 6/10
Day 8 was a California rose. Not really my thing. 5/10
Nothing raises more questions than cleaning your teenagers' bathroom. Why are all the Kleenex gone? Have they been using the same towel for the last year? Why is the toilet seat loose? Why are there 8 empty bottles of shampoo? HOW DID THEY GET PEE THERE????
Doing a little day drinking on Day 7. Nice CA red blend. It's not something I would normally choose, but it's drinkable. 9/10
Day 6 is a Spanish red. It had a fruity taste. Tasted like wine and went great with my gnocchi. 10/10
Day 5 is a Sangiovese Bianco from Italy. I'm not usually a fan of whites, but this has a nice apple flavor. 9/10.
Day 4 of the advent calendar is a rich tempranillo from Spain. It's a little too fruity for me but it went nicely with my rigatoni. 8/10
Bonus review... Bing Crosby White Christmas Winter Warmer from Narragansett out of Providence,Rhode Island. Solid Malty beer with tastes of toffee and a hint of cherry. Not too boozy, even at 7.4 ABV. 8/10
Enjoying Day 3 of the wine advent calendar while waiting for my kid's hockey game to start. It is a French Savignon Blanc, fruity and white. Tastes less like wine and more like something that will give me a headache if I drink more than 1 glass. 7/10
Wine Advent calendar, Day 2. A lovely, deep Italian red by Corsiero Nero. Tastes like wine. 10/10.
First night of this year's wine advent calendar is a lovely Spanish cabernet. The tasting notes say it has notes of black currant and vanilla. As a person who usually buys her wines in boxes, it tastes like wine. 10 out of 10.
I used to start each morning watching the news. Local and then national. Since the election, I have started my days with reruns of Bewitched and the change in my mental health has been amazing!
