I can't look at this painting without breaking into a cold sweat for fear that the princess is about to get dragged away by shadow creatures again
About halfway through The Last Guardian and let me tell you what, this game better have a happy ending. If anything happens to my best friend Trico, heads will roll

Wow what a missed opportunity, they could have called it Nintendo Switcheroo
First-person aiming has always been a barrier for me. I’m just not good at it, never have been. And I know everyone is super excited about the mouse/Joy Con switcheroo but as someone who doesn’t play many PC games I hope that more games on the Switch 2 include features like this too.
I just finished the Portal 1 port for the Switch and I’m pleasantly surprised by the motion controls. I was hesitant at first but when you turn the sensitivity wayyy down it felt really natural. Reminded me of the bullet-time in BotW and TotK.

Implementing “recordings” of the Big Bang in the sound design, creating musical motifs based on the spirals of the Golden Ratio and the infinite pull of gravity, not to mention a score which includes jazz improv, a full orchestra, and throat-singing. The list goes on. It took them four years.
And speaking of how it sounds, @skillbard.bsky.social did an absolutely stellar job. Genesis Noir looks incredible, and the sound design serves to elevate the visuals but also to be part of the storytelling itself. Truly inspired. Some examples include:
I’ve been telling some folks about it and it’s difficult to explain, since it falls into more of an interactive experience than a “game”. But since it looks and sounds so great it I eventually just pull up a video of it and they’re sold.
Finally played through Genesis Noir and golly gee. Honestly pretty disappointed that it took me this long to play it. Either none of my friends know about the game, or none of my friends know about ME. Boy howdy, it hit me square in the chest.
The Neverhood (1996). Terry Scott Taylor somehow created music that sounded like it was made out of clay
