I’ve been watching this female Marsh Harrier for months at Martin Mere. She’s a stunner. Amazes me how different she can look. Formerly a local mega. Now easy to see in SW Lancashire. #birds #birding #conservation #Lancashire

As a kid I never thought I could drive 5 minutes from my front door & hear a bittern booming. We always had to drive an hour to Leighton Moss. Burscough delivers 😉 #birds #birding #Burscough #lancashire

I encountered this white fallow buck on the edge of Martin Mere this evening. I think an escapee that’s been around a couple of years, rather than from Douglas Valley herd. Nevertheless a Bonny lad living his best life

Three Willow Tits today at Chisnall Hall Colliery near Coppull. Some nice habitat there - standing water in areas with decent understory & loads of standing deadwood. Nice
