Totally—I'm sure it's different for different people.
I mean, I even enjoy graphic design, but I still put it off because I find it hard to switch gears.
And 💯 re:experimenting aimlessly. I'm really good at that 😅 What's hard is that, often, I don't even realize I'm doing it
This has happened so many times. 😬
I decided to make a post about it so maybe this lesson will stick in my head this time 😅
Then a few hours designing, I'll start getting into it and think:
"OMG THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER WHY DIDN'T I JUST SIT DOWN AND DO THIS EARLIER"
It's almost always just taking the time to explore a few options… after which, the answer becomes obvious.
This is especially bad when working on something like ~10hrs a week.
A month will pass and I'll unconsciously fiddle with programming stuff, not addressing design decisions.
When I FINALLY realize I need to sit down something, I feel anxious starting… like I'm wasting my time not programming?
The most challenging part of being a solo dev for me is knowing when to switch gears.
I get on these dumb kicks where I think: I need to get this done… I need sit down and program it! 💪 But! There's often some design ambiguity. So I just ignore those parts and do other things.

Such a sad day 8mo later 😭

It is a peculiar hallmark of the American economy that you can produce a dangerous product and effectively off-load any legal liability for whatever destruction that product may cause by pointing to the individual responsibility of the consumer.
Def feels right

Love it! V Math-rocky. Reminds me of LITE

Watched Lord of the Rings and was guarding one daughter from the Eye of Sauron as she got something downstairs. Asked the other how I would defeat the Eye of Sauron. She said: "with your sigh of disappointment."
I do not wield it lightly

The Death of Marat by Jacques-Louis David
A classic. I like this one! It's a nice balance. Not impossible, not too easy. I wanna do it again.
