21 February 1934 | Dutch Jewish girl, Elisabeth Rimini, was born in Amsterdam.
She was deported from Amsterdam to #Theresienstadt ghetto in April 1943 and on 23 October 1944 she was deported to Auschwitz with her younger sister Sophia. They were both murdered in a gas chamber.

11 February 1943 | A transport of 1,000 Jews deported by the from #Drancy camp in German-occupied #France arrived at #Auschwitz. SS doctors sent 77 men & 91 women to the camp. The remaining 832 people were murdered in gas chambers.
Among them was Henri Latowicz. He was almost 3.

The cat is shown in classic loaf shape and looking up to the left. I strongly suspect it is assessing whether to leap out of the bookmark and find the stash of Dreamies in the house. My dog (not pictured) is so far unaware that there is another feline in the house.
After a fairly hectic and utterly sodden day, it was lovely to return home to this waiting for me.

Dark berries is English Ivy. And I have the small yellowish flower one popping up in my garden… I thought it was a wild geranium of some sort but the internet isn’t helping me with whether that’s correct, sorry 😕
“More green leaves but varying shades” is a cotoneaster. The rosemary with flowers *could* be a dianthus of some sort but not sure.
