In Sept 2024, I went to Ireland & the UK for a “grief trip” and I bought this yellow scarf in Scotland in the Highlands, it’s just so beautiful でも (but) I wanted the two halves to be flipped for symmetry reasons so I worked out the pattern and swapped the 2nd half cables and am testing it. I 💜 it!

Terrible migraine all day. Spent most of the day laying down 👀 covered & feeling 🤢. I did manage to finish the 🟡 hat though after hours of not restful rest. I also casted on a new hat w/ the remaining skein of 🟢 I used for the fake ombré hat.
This is a rough month for me bcuz it’s my hub’s “death month.” Everyday I can either remember exactly what we’re were doing or it’s a complete blank. I’m also trying to work on final projects for 1st semester of law school, #knitNovember, & doing my Japanese & ASL practice. It feels like too much.
Day 9 Update: Knit November
Spent the day purging clothes & reading from a REAL book for school. I had less knitting time this weekend than last week but I’m making progress on a hat with a decorative pattern.

Day 7 Update: #KnitNovember
Another widow day, I was in full turtle mode, but I kept knitting. Finished a grey Seafarer’s Watchman’s Cap with the same leftover squishy cotton yarn from my nephew’s baby blanket. Hat #3 done.

It’s not be easy. I’ve mostly just lost shame in grief so I just let the grief out when it hits no matter where I am. I think not trying to bottle it has been good for me. And I’ve always been fairly good at advocating for myself medically ur it is a slow process. I do have a decent team now though
