I don't remember what it's like to not feel burnt out.

I am starting to worry that we are only just scratching the surface of corruption and stupidity, and that we've got another 3.3 years to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I'm trying to decide which blue to go with next. Too bad they don't ever show you what the colors look like on silver/white/grey hair.

Oh, I plan to start from Season 1… just need to plow through the first couple of episodes to get some momentum.

I still need to go back and watch last season. We got bored after the first two episodes.

Since I will likely be doing this at home, single colors would be easier.

Our current political climate makes me want to dye my hair just so I stand out more as a liberal.

But what color hair goes well with a white beard (because I really don't want to dye my beard)?

I would like to exchange this robot for my son.

The solitude and isolation I get, but the complete lack of emotion or expression is the killer. We hear him laughing and carousing with his friends, but around us, he's about as animate as a tortoise.

It is devastating to have had a child who smiled, laughed, cried, and loved to be around us. Now we struggle to even get a smirk out of him. I am heartbroken. I didn't think I would feel this distant from him until he moved out, but he's been little more than a roommate for the past 4 years.

My saddest experience as a parent is that since my child hit the teenage years, he has basically shut himself off entirely from us. He shows us zero emotions, he responds in single words, he is more of a fixture than a person. He interacts normally with his friends, he's only like this with us.

I got my copy of The Dark Quarter yesterday. Anxiously awaiting the app release. I both love and hate the token storage they used. It's so fiddly to get them in place (and get them to stay in place while snapping on the cover), but once they are locked away, they look great!

And for clarification, our son is six months short of being 18.

We were scheduled to go to a studio taping of @aftermidnightcbs.bsky.social today, but we missed the fact that attendees must be 18.

It bothers me that our litigious society keep us from making choices for our children, and that language and crude humor are more damning than violence and death.

Los Angeles: Day One

We visited Venice Beach, took a bus tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and then visited some extended family out in El Segundo.

We were talking with someone out here in LA, and they said something about "sometimes folks will run through a red light 1, maybe 2 seconds after it changes."

I thought to myself "oh, that's cute... in Texas they will still be running that red light for 5-10 seconds after it changes."

Back when I first got my Rivian, and people were still really curious about it, I was showing it off to someone new almost every day. Everyone said "you should get a referral for your passion." But now that there is a referral program, the brand is well known enough, no one ever asks about it.

My only problem with the referral program is that it definitely benefits people with a large media presence, while the majority of owners are just sitting here with effectively useless referral codes. 😕

Can you confirm how/why it's specific to Gen2? Wouldn't Gen1 and Gen2 have the same speaker "cave?"

This is a great philosophy to have. You can love a brand, but you also need to keep your expectations realistic, and take the good with the bad.

I was glad when they took down the stupid Red Light cameras... but now I kind of wish they would put them back up.
