8. A most treasured memory:
As a little kid our family would go up to a cottage by a lake to vacation in the summer. Lots of memories of playing on the beach there, getting a chance to go solo on a WaveRunner, and minnows nibbling at my toes.

Ofically. Working at a Bag Boy for a local grocery store chain. Bagging up, then taking groceries out to people's cars.

The small part of me that remains a hopeless romantic does believe in love at first sight and soulmates.
Not in a fairy tale sort of way. But definitely, some people just vibe together beautifully.

I'm pretty good about letting things go and moving on, and I don't have many situations where I think saying something would have made things better for everyone...
But to a ghost in my past, I wish we would have kissed.

Very long story short, I had helped a friend through a suicide attempt and hospitalization. Reached out to family, & helped them get the help they really needed. Quite the ordeal.
Afterwards a mutual friend said to me, "You did God's work" with utmost sincerity.

Since I know this does not get advertised, there is a service in the US called OptOutPrescreen which stops unsolicited pre-approved offers. I requested this over a year ago and the only unexpected mail I get anymore is nonprofits asking for money.
I really wish I knew why otherwise intelligent people throw logic & better judgment away and fall in line with what is spewed by hollow men pretending to be strong.
And why do I have to work with some of them?
