Junferno tried closely finding aligned segments of the human genome to Bad Apple frames using BLAST but then realised he had no idea what he was doing and that biology is too hard.
Junferno has decided that it is not possible to play Bad Apple on the human genome in an interesting way. On to the next idea.

The one thing I missed was a mention of Elise, which has improved upon Quackle and has a far more refined evaluation function, so its gameplay is a bit more human and sneaky. Macondo (which you quickly mentioned) has also improved some of Quackle's weaknesses, especially by playing a flawless endgame (so the stats at 11:17 are true for Quackle, but Macondo is better than Nigel in endgames now).
