Feeling deeply angry at the way the leaders of our world have sold out the people and the planet for short-term profits for like 8 white men to become trillionaires. We need to drastically change course. Eat the rich, redistribute wealth so everyone’s needs can be met. A better world is possible!

I’m trying to spread the word that smudging is a specific type of smoke cleansing that comes from Indigenous cultures and is closed to settlers. The Celtic term is saining but so many people use “smudging” and “smudge sticks” as a catch-all term, and I don’t think that’s right. Words have meaning!

I’m so glad I have IRL witchy pagan friends - I love having online community, but we’re at our best when we can see and interact with each other face to face at least sometimes!

I’ve been feeling the call to veil more as part of my spiritual practice, particularly since I started venerating the Cailleach. Though “Cailleach” is often translated as “hag, crone”, it literally means “one with a veil”. I feel especially close to my Scottish ancestors and upbringing right now.

I feel strongly that white people need to return to the land, return to the water. For so long we’ve saw ourselves as “above” the natural world but we are deeply rooted in the Earth just like everyone else. Part of decolonization is re-indigenization, which means reconnecting with the Land.
