Well I’m a public school teacher where my politics aren’t the majority so I have to moderate how I say things.
Effing moron. Just shut the hell up and go away.
Had a lost kids book sent to collections once. Didn’t love that. BUT it was our fault for losing it. Wasn’t a problem for our family (plus we eventually found it) but kinda hate it for less privileged folks.
First, our public library is great. Maybe one of the best things about the town we live in. We do have late fees still. But only after 3 auto renewals. We can read in the library with our kids to reduce/eliminate fines. It’s like $1 for 15 minutes. Double if you & your kid read.
Good. We shouldn’t win a damn thing. Especially with all the MAGA adjacent fools in our hockey program.

Local news is turning to garbage anywhere. I stick to KOMU out here because I figure them being owned by the University offers a certain level to buffer from this garbage. That and KRCG is Sinclair garbage.

So…I’m watching Hard Knocks in season. My version of mindless, guilty pleasure tv. But Nick Sirianni and a player are standing in practice talking about how their football-related adversity is part of God’s plan. Religion is dying, but seems to be stronger than ever in football. Just an observation.
Christmas Tree is coming down. Kind of bittersweet as it’s back to the grind on Monday. BUT…that grind is precisely what made this restful/enjoyable holiday break possible. Always have to remind myself of that. Life is good.
