π¦ Bats matter across the UK and around the world. Bat species play a vital role in ecosystems, from agricultural land to tropical forests. They pollinate plants, disperse seeds and eat insects which damage crops.

π¦ Please do not disturb hibernating bats. Not only is it illegal to do so but it can endanger their chances of survival as they can use vital fat reserves when they become active unnecessarily.
If you find a bat in an exposed location please follow the advice on our website: www.bats.org.uk/advice

π¦ Bats are long-lived mammals which reproduce slowly: each female can only produce one baby per year and not all females will have babies each year. For this reason their populations are very slow to grow or recover their numbers. buff.ly/3fyG3uW
