Democrats need to stay united. The difficult choice Democratic senators faced was a direct result of actions by Trump and Musk. Instead of pointing fingers at each other, focus on the bigger fight—standing against authoritarianism. Keep your eyes on the goal and push forward together.

Virginia is in a precarious position because if the federal government slashes Medicaid funding, we could be looking at the need to halt Medicaid expansion. Over 721,000 Virginians have healthcare due to Medicaid expansion. We have to fight for our neighbors.

If Kamala had won, Biden likely wouldn’t have pardoned his son. He acted in the face of Trump's disregard for norms and his stated focus on political retaliation. Presidential pardons are a long-standing tradition, and the right’s hypocrisy on this issue is glaring. They should zip it.

When we survive this dark chapter and there are sane people back in charge, can we agree that education and specifically civics education to ensure an informed, educated citizenry will be a high priority?
There’s an awful lot of “it’s over” and “we won’t survive this” going around. I’m not naive to the danger, I’m just not convinced these people are capable of destroying everything and I’m convinced there are plenty of good, capable, committed people who are not going to just roll over and take it.
