Is the Lionel Messi tour a bit Globetrotters, or a good thing for MLS? Also; the FA Cup has been quite good, and could Tottenham go down?

The damage he has done reaches beyond the borders I’m afraid.
Because they do what they’re told at all times and have no core beliefs?
When the interest rates go up, Starmer should verbally attack Trump as loud and as clear as possible. He’s incredibly unpopular, and is the punching bag that Starmer needs politically.
I really want to go back to a time when I didn’t need to be worried about who the American President was. Interest rates going up. Petrol prices going up. He’s literally costing me money, and has done irreparable damage to politics around the world. 77 million people.
Recent history would prove them right.
They’re all so excited. The mad King has noticed us! The mad King has noticed us! All so desperate to be part of their culture war and bring it here.
Sad, quisling, courtiers, with Farage right in the middle, looking after only himself.

I see the right wing post machine has hit overdrive tonight on the hell site.
Doing whatever they’re told as usual.
There’s always money for war, but when it comes to welfare? The budget has ‘ballooned’ and we simply can’t afford it. What a joke.
They’re all just so stupid. Like 8 year olds.
"the super rich have cultivated vehicles to inject their low-tax, anti-regulation, elitist ideologies into political debate."
We don't want MAGA policies here in Europe but a growing right-wing network is trying to make it happen. That's deeply worrying.

📌 ICYMI — Revealed: The Staggering Amount of Time Nigel Farage has Spent on ‘Second’ Jobs Since Becoming an MP
The Reform UK leader has logged more than 1,100 hours for 14 outside employers since his election in July 2024
This isn’t a hallucination, Michael Gove. You’ve never explained the millions you disbursed to buddies with your crony Covid Contracts.
Cashing in on the worst public health crisis in a century should disbar people from public life permanently.

Spot on ⬇️
@stellacreasy.bsky.social: "The performative cruelty of repeatedly demanding that refugees prove they are still refugees – or else face deportation – cannot be understated. It is also a waste of money given that so few refugees, when retested, will change status."
My debut piece for @thenerve.news - about how Paul Marshall and the Legatum Group are reshaping the norms of political influence 👇🏻
This oaf is fast becoming a serious challenger to Daniel Hannan for the ‘Wrongest Man In The World’ title.
Obama: "We are living in a time where it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law ... but this man - Rev. Jesse Jackson - inspires us to take a harder path ... bc if we don't step up, nobody else will"
Keir Starmer has undoubtedly made political mistakes in his time as Prime Minister; but it's a relief not to be led by some right wing nutter during this moment. The campaign against him this week, as usual, has been hysterical from the disingenuous usual suspects.
GB News has never made a profit because it doesn’t exist to make a profit. It exists to exert pressure to push broadcast news channels further rightwards. It is about further poisoning the information environment. That’s why it exists.
Incredible to read Orwell and miss the point entirely.
The British right all just want to be MAGA Americans. They all just want to be famous influencers. Every thing they say and do needs to be seen through that lens.
It’s a little-known fact about Kemi Badenoch that years ago she must have suffered a traumatic brain injury that has left her completely unable to recall any event after 2002. That may sound ridiculous, but once you know it, it explains an awful lot about British politics. Take, for instance, Wednesday’s Prime Minister’s Questions. The Tory leader demanded to know why Britain wasn’t joining the Americans in attacking Iran. That’s a brilliant question if, like Badenoch — and apparently her entire team — you have absolutely no knowledge of “UK Involvement With Events in the Middle East: 2003 to Present Day”. Otherwise, even the most slow-witted MP would get a pretty handy clue from the first three letters of the target country’s name.
The best explanation for the British right's enthusiasm for war with Iran: brain damage. thecritic.co.uk/the-...

A reminder: Matt Goodwin lost heavily in spite of an almost total lack of tactical voting, not because of it.
The combined Green/Labour vote was 66%, versus 28.7% for Reform.
If Labour and the Greens split the vote 50/50 – a total coordination fail – he'd have finished third, not second.
