5/ Israel is the only country in the world that systematically confiscates the bodies of people it kills. DCIP reports Israeli forces have killed 28 Palestinian children in the West Bank this year and continue to withhold the bodies of 45 children they killed since 2016.
4/ Hours after the killing, Israeli authorities announced Yousef’s death and are now withholding his body — a policy experts describe as collective punishment and a violation of international law.
3/ Witnesses said there were no clashes at the time. Israeli forces later raided a nearby home and deleted surveillance footage of the shooting.
2/ Soldiers opened fire at close range without warning, then stripped Yousef’s clothes and prevented anyone from reaching him. After nearly 40 minutes, an Israeli military ambulance arrived and took his body to an undisclosed location.
