Finished my first book of 2026 – Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett. 5 Stars for sure. Pratchett is so funny and clever. I highlighted so many well-crafted lines. I loved it.
On to book two. I think I'm going to dive into an indie novel next before I return to Discworld. Any recommendations?

I've been really trying to get up a write first time in the morning. I was a little groggy today but hey, I did it!

Woke up at 4:51. Wrote 282 words.
Did yoga. Packed lunch.
Audiobook in the car instead of screen time.

We'll see how long I can keep this up.

The best writing tip I've ever gotten is: "Embrace a bad first draft."

I would edit extensively as I wrote my first draft, while the draft was fairly clean, the process took 10 times longer than just getting all of your ideas out and worrying about the editing later.
