If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.
Todayβs military strikes on Iran β carried out by the United States and Israel β mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war.
Hahahaha I will read your reviews any time!

Genichiro Ashina is training the weird centipede things to have morals
Kind of gives away the whole game that all the crypto ads this year have been replaced with gambling and AI ads.

*Waves in Kobo Libra 2, Boox Palma 2, Boox Note Air 5C and old ass Kindle a friend gave him*
The cover of Deal With the Devil on a background featuring the heroine, Nina, standing on rubble with books in one arm and a gun in the other hand. The ebook cover is on a table with a "Now a Major Motion Picture" sticker that has an asterisk. Next to it is "* actually we're just kind of awkwardly living out the plot in real time but if we pretend it's a movie maybe that makes it more exciting?"
In 2020 @totallydonna.kitrocha.com & I started a trilogy about 3 book nerds (w/ superpowers) who just want to build a library for their community but shitty tech bros suck so they have to keep doing crimes.
Tor was kind enough to put book one on sale for $5.99!

Kat if you think it's antifascist *now*, just wait until you get to book 5.
If youβre looking for a fun, antifascist sci-fi multispecies buddy comedy book series (with a very good audiobook version), I highly recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Iβm on Book 3 and itβs been a blast from start to finish.
I am that weird guy who thinks that Warbreaker is Brandon's best early novel... But I agree that Mistborn is the smoothest starting point.
Were you on the "annual plan but billed monthly" thing? I agree that this is BS but I'm pretty sure there's a plan where you lock in to a year long subscription but get billed for it monthly, vs just paying (more) month by month.
The good news is that the character dramatically improved after season one (as do literally all of the characters)
I have bad news for you
My mom loves these books. I've never been able to take them seriously.
All 4 hosts of @babbleonpod.bsky.social are currently individually texting me while they are recording, and reading my responses on the podcast in what I can only imagine will be an unhinged episode where you also find out how much I could just recall about McCaffrey's The Ship Who Sang on command
You and me both
The best thing about Helm's Deep in the movie vs in the book is that you don't have to read the word "deeping-coomb" seven hundred times while trying to figure out what the hell that even is

"Hobbit Trilogy" this, "Rings of Power" that, when will Warner Bros give the people what they really want: a six hour Houses of Healing movie where Eowyn and Faramir very slowly fall in love
Man they just don't make them like Eowyn very often, I mean my girl:
> Claps eyes on one man from outside Rohan and goes "yep that's the one"
> Gets rejected
> Sneaks her way into the army to die
> Murders Depression in single combat
> Tries to fight her way out of the hospital
> Marries Faramir
Absolutely legendary run
Also Tolkien's whole "the hands of the King are the hands of a healer" thing, and how the true measure of a leader is the measure to which they can heal, unite, mend, repair, inspire, bridge divides, help those in need...
Sam Gamgee's "there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for" speech hit extra hard today
